(Staten Island Advance/ Bill Lyons) "Staten Island Academy had its 37th annual auction Saturday night at the Richmond County Country Club, Dongan Hills. The event, with a "Roaring Twenties" theme, featured more than 140 items in a silent auction and some two dozen in the live auction. Some of the items up for bid included a vacation home in Ireland, as well as a "romantic" vacation to Charleston, S.C.; a MacBook Pro laptop computer, and a paintball package pitting six Academy students against faculty members. A $10,000 raffle prize was also drawn. Art by the Academy's lower-school students was also auctioned off. Auctioneers were Erin Ward and Jill Doherty of the Long Island-based Star Benefit Auctions. Teresa Pelosi and Colleen Kelleher-Sorrentino served as co-chairs of the event, one of the school's major fund-raisers."
