Gala memory pictures from this weekend!!! @hsi_nj Gala memory pictures from this weekend!!! @hsi_nj comeback bash but really never left. So thankful to be in person supporting an organization that worked tirelessly during covid years to help the people in the Morristown community survive and thrive while the world froze. Organizations like Homeless solutions didn't stop working while they couldn't fundraise. Their workloads increased and funding decreased. As we transition back to inperson galas it's important to remember these folks and the humans out there that worked selflessly during this time. They worked and helped our world remain as safe as possible during this difficult time. Rates of people suffering of housing and food insecurity raised. Domestic violence, child abuse and hate crimes rates rose. Abuse of LGBTQIA+ community also increased. These groups are now rejoicing hopeful that their community can come together and raise their paddles united to support them. Raising crucial funds to replace depleted accounts. This is a time to dig deep and remember to help Nonprofits in your community and world wide. When we arrive during set up we are dressed ready to help with all sorts of things from sound check to golden ticket sales set up... (if you don't do a golden ticket aka best of live raffle look into it or ask us... they are fun! Last nights winner picked a prize valued at about $3k. The donor happened to give 2 of them so we still got to sell it in live auction. But we sold 140 tickets at $100 each sooo that package "sold for $14,000!!!!!!!!) They we get dolled up and team ready for the most fun, fabulous and fundraisy night ever!!!! This happens so much. Fundraising galas are critic This happens so much. Fundraising galas are critical to organization funding. Yet the moment of failure or success is often left up to "funny uncles" or untrained facilitators. Your emcee and auctioneers are representing your organization. Make SURE they are a perfect fit. Lots of professionals dedicate their lives to this industry. Don't risk your success to an inappropriate joke or worse yet and offensive one. Maybe I should make a video of "what not to say" stories. I can't believe some of the things people have said. It's as important as making sure your event has lights!
